World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item upgrade. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an Item Upgrader kit, allowing players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure how much it will be improved after an update.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial possibility that the item upgrader kit will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to put Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could be more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player is repeatedly in or leaves the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each each time you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item upgrader mod's definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Players will still have to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
